I love when Chelsey takes pictures. It consistently amazes me that I could take 100 pictures with 1/5 a good one, and Chelsey can take 1 picture with a 100 good ways to use it. She's got a gift. While we were on our honeymoon she took some great pictures of Chichen Itza and the resort...so here I share a few with you!

Living the Good Life

A week from yesterday Chelsey and I got married. It's weird, crazy, fun, exciting. We have spent the last week in the Riviera Maya on the Yucatan Peninsula. It has been a great time. We are staying at an all inclusive resort, the Aventura Spa Palace. It has been amazing! All the food, beach, and fun one could have! We got to go see the Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza on Friday, and went to the Spa yesterday. However, even in all this beauty exists deep poverty. The two hour drive into the heart of the Yucatan to Chichen Itza was full of small villages, in dire conditions. It seems that every night at dinner, Chelsey and I talk about the need of this region. How can we sit here so blessed to eat all we want, then drive through the jungle and see the life that is being lived by others? Our prayers turn to these people, their generous hospitality and the blessing they have been to us!
